The final study report was published as SEWRPC Planning Report No. 47, and was adopted by the Commission as an amendment to the regional transportation plan at a meeting held May 21, 2003.

Response to City of Milwaukee Newsletter
In May 2002, the City of Milwaukee published a newsletter commenting
on the preliminary recommended regional freeway system reconstruction plan. The

Response to Reported Remarks on Freeway Reconstruction Study
by Florida-based Traffic Engineer, Walter Kulash
In May 2002, Florida-based traffic engineer Walter Kulash visited Milwaukee
to comment on the Freeway Reconstruction Study, and specifically on the preliminary
recommended regional freeway system reconstruction plan. The SEWRPC
Response to Walter Kulashs Remarks addresses a number of Mr. Kulashs
comments as reported by local media.
Public Information Meetings and Hearings
Citizens were invited to two series of public information meetings
and hearings to learn more about, and to comment on, the Regional Freeway System
Reconstruction Study for Southeastern Wisconsin. The first series was held in July and August of 2001, and the second series was held in May and June of 2002. A schedule of the public meeting and hearing dates and locations is available for review. Each session began with a meeting
in "open house" fashion from 4:00-6:00 p.m. At each meeting a presentation
was made by study staff at 6:00 p.m., followed at 6:30 p.m. by a public hearing
providing a forum for public comment in "town hall" format. The presentation
utilized at the public meetings and hearings in 2002 is available for review.
