Final Study Report "A Regional Freeway System Reconstruction Plan for Southeastern Wisconsin" The final study report was published as SEWRPC Planning Report No. 47, and was adopted by the Commission as an amendment to the regional transportation plan at a meeting held Other Study Reports "Scope of Work — A Regional Freeway System Reconstruction Study for Southeastern Wisconsin" This document includes all comments on the study received from February 1, 2001, through August 31, 2001 (prior to the completion of the preliminary recommended plan). This document includes all comments on the study received from September 1, 2001, through August 31, 2002, including comments on the preliminary freeway system reconstruction plan. Included are the results of a survey of attitudes of Southeastern Wisconsin residents regarding freeway traffic congestion and freeway system reconstruction published separately as SEWRPC Memorandum Report No. 153. This document includes all comments on the study received from September 1, 2002, through March 12, 2003 (after the preliminary recommended plan formal comment period and prior to the formulation of the final recommended plan). This document, published as SEWRPC Memorandum Report No. 153, presents the results of a survey conducted in July and August of 2002 regarding freeway traffic congestion and freeway system reconstruction. The results are also included in the "Record of Public Comments: Regional Freeway System Reconstruction Study (Including Preliminary Recommended Plan): Volume Two—September 1, 2001-August 31, 2002" listed above. Response to City of Milwaukee Newsletter In May 2002, the City of Milwaukee published a newsletter commenting on the preliminary recommended regional freeway system reconstruction plan. The "SEWRPC Response" addresses a number of comments contained in the City's newsletter. Response to Reported Remarks on Freeway Reconstruction Study by Florida-based Traffic Engineer, Walter Kulash In May 2002, Florida-based traffic engineer Walter Kulash visited Milwaukee to comment on the Freeway Reconstruction Study, and specifically on the preliminary recommended regional freeway system reconstruction plan. The “SEWRPC Response to Walter Kulash’s Remarks” addresses a number of Mr. Kulash’s comments as reported by local media. Public Information Meetings and Hearings Citizens were invited to two series of public information meetings and hearings to learn more about, and to comment on, the Regional Freeway System Reconstruction Study for Southeastern Wisconsin. The first series was held in July and August of 2001, and the second series was held in May and June of 2002. A schedule of the public meeting and hearing dates and locations is available for review. Each session began with a meeting in "open house" fashion from 4:00-6:00 p.m. At each meeting a presentation was made by study staff at 6:00 p.m., followed at 6:30 p.m. by a public hearing providing a forum for public comment in "town hall" format.
