This site was actively used over the period 2000-2005 as the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) conducted a Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Freeway Reconstruction Study. This study was requested by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT), and was completed in 2003 under the guidance of an advisory committee made up of representatives from State, County, and local governments, and the business, labor, and environmental communities. This study was conducted by the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) at the request of the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT). WISDOT is the owner and manager of the freeway system within the seven county Southeastern Wisconsin Region and the entire State of Wisconsin. The study was conducted under the guidance of an advisory committee made up of representatives from State, County, and local governments, and the business, labor, and environmental communities. The Regional Planning Commission is the official areawide planning agency for the seven county Southeastern Wisconsin Region and the officially designated metropolitan transportation planning organization for the Region.

Answers to Questions about the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission and the Regional Freeway System Reconstruction Plan for Southeastern Wisconsin

A listing is now available of answers to questions about the Commission, the regional freeway system reconstruction study, and the study's relationship to the preliminary engineering and environmental impact study that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will initiate in later 2005 for IH 94 between the Mitchell Interchange and the Wisconsin-Illinois state line. These questions and answers were distributed at a October 26, 2005 meeting.

The final study report, published as SEWRPC Planning Report No. 47, was adopted by the Commission as an amendment to the regional transportation plan at a meeting held May 21, 2003.
